Application Process

The Brian Waters
Scholarship Fund was established in 2006. Brian is an avid supporter of
post-secondary education and continues to give back to communities. As
an alumni himself, he has a passion for serving deserving students of
Waxahachie. He is a strong advocate for low-income and first-generation
students.
The eligibility criteria and minimum requirements to be considered by
the Scholarship Committee for applicants to the Brian Waters Foundation
Scholarship are:
a) Current Waxahachie High School Senior
b) Must demonstrate financial need ( as defined by federal
guidelines, financial award letter, or other documentation of family
financial status)
c) Specific plan to obtain degree
d) Must have
completed Federal Financial Aid application
e) Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.50 on a 4.0 scale
f) Demonstrated involvement in community activities (must provide
proof of community service hours)
g) A completed scholarship application with essay and specific
description of plan to obtain a degree
h) Must be enrolled and/or accepted to a community college, 2yr
or 4 yr university and/or a trade school for the 2007-2008 academic
year. (Proof of acceptance must be submitted)
